Mari-Tech 2020 Update on COVID-19

The Canadian Institute of Marine Engineering (CIMarE) Atlantic Branch, host of Mari-Tech Conference and Exhibition 2020, Vision, Innovation and Trending in the Marine Sector, takes the health and well-being of our delegates, speakers, exhibitors and staff very seriously. The coronavirus situation (COVID-19) continues to evolve quickly in Canada, and we have been continuously monitoring and evaluating developments.

Given the current situation with COVID-19, we are committed to following Health Canada and government advice or suggested restrictions in the size of public gatherings. Therefore, CIMarE has no alternative but to postpone the Mari-Tech Conference and Exhibition 2020 scheduled at the Halifax Convention Centre, April 28-30. The conference will instead occur in the spring of 2021 once all arrangements have been reaffirmed. Further information on the status of the conference, including the revised date and other logistical details, will be announced following the advice of Canadian public health officials. Our event management team will be in communication with delegates, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors in the coming days to clarify the next steps for the conference.

The registration fee includes:

Conference Pass:

  • Access to the Opening Reception on Tuesday, April 28 (with Wednesday day pass only)
  • Access to all sessions on the day you purchased
  • Access to the Exhibition hall on the day you purchased
  • Breakfast, refreshments and lunch on the day you purchased

Exhibition Hall Pass

  • Access to the Exhibition Hall on the day you purchased
  • Breakfast, refreshments and lunch on the day you purchased

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellations will be accepted, and a refund issued until March 1, 2020 minus a $100 administration fee (Cancellations are not available for the Evening Event). Any cancellation is to be sent via email. No cancellations will be accepted as of March 2, 2020. Name substitution sent via email will be accepted until the day of the event.

Exhibitors Sponsors
Exhibitors receive the following passes per booth:

  • 10’ x 10’ – $2,500 plus HST
    2 Conference Passes
  • 10’ x 20’ – $5,000 plus HST
    4 Conference Passes

**Any additional conference passes will need to be purchased at the above rates. The Evening Event tickets need to be purchased separately.

Sponsors receive the following passes per sponsorship:

  • Platinum Sponsorship
    Includes 4 Conference Passes and 8 tickets to the Evening Event
  • Gold Sponsorship
    Includes 2 Conference Passes and 2 tickets to the Evening Event
  • Silver Sponsorship
    Includes 1 Conference Pass and 1 ticket to the Evening Event

**Any additional conference passes and evening event tickets need to be purchased separately.
